SCHOLARSHIPS
Guatemala faces notable challenges in education. Educational coverage has stagnated in recent years, with six out of every ten children attending pre-primary school, most going on to primary school, but only half continuing on to basic education, and barely a quarter making it to high school. In addition, the quality of education is compromised, with teachers failing to score above 60% in reading, mathematics and teaching strategies tests.
